Are You Tired?

Are you feeling more tired then normal even though you’re stuck at home? Is it messing with your productivity?

There are a couple reasons it could be happening. Because many of us are stuck inside, we’ve lost many of things that help us keep track time, like when we eat, exercises, or spend time with our friends, which is throwing our internal clocks are thrown off.

Also, stress, anxiety, and change is impacting every aspect of our lives. Dealing with worry and change takes a toll on out bodies.

So, what can you do to feel less tired?

Set up a consistent sleep schedule. Introducing structure can help your body reset its internal clock. As tempting as it is to sleep in as much as possible, oversleeping can actually make you more tired.

What are you drinking? Drink more water and less coffee. Coffee may nor actually help you feel energized, just wired. Coffee is also dehydrating, which can make you feel tired and unproductive. Drinking more water will help you feel awake.

Take a break. It’s easy when working from home to work all or nothing, all at once or not all. However, our brains work in 90-minute cycles. So, take a break when you feel yourself getting tired, get up for a snack, a quick walk outside, or go play with your pet for a bit. Doing so will help you be able to stay productive for longer.
